AI · EU data residency · Amazon Bedrock

Frontier AI, without leaving the EU.

Buy Claude direct and your prompts are processed outside Europe. Through Cloud2 on Amazon Bedrock, the same Claude runs in an EU region, your data never touches US infrastructure, and every call is logged for your auditor. Same models, same tools, an EU boundary you can prove.

Where your AI runs is a compliance decision, not a detail.

For a regulated Nordic organisation, one question outranks the rest: where does our data actually get processed? Answer it wrong and it surfaces as a finding in your next audit, long after a quick fix would have solved it.

Buying Claude direct from Anthropic has no EU residency setting. Requests run on global infrastructure and storage is US-only. Even “Claude Platform on AWS” is operated by Anthropic and processed outside the AWS boundary. The reassuring part: you get the full model and keep your data in the EU. It comes down to a configuration you own, and a well-worn path we set up safely every week.

If your obligation is "data stays in the EU," only one path actually answers it.

The same Claude, processed inside the EU.

Through Cloud2 and Amazon Bedrock, Claude runs on AWS infrastructure in Europe. AWS processes the data and does not share it with Anthropic or any third party. No detour through US infrastructure.

Choose how strict you need to be. In-Region keeps every request inside a single region such as Stockholm or Ireland. EU Geo routes for capacity across Frankfurt, Paris, Stockholm, Ireland, Milan, Spain, Zurich and London, but never outside the EU. And you do not switch tools: Claude Code, the Cowork desktop app, and the SDK all point at Bedrock with one change of configuration.

Governance your auditor will accept.

You can prove this one, with a paper trail to match. Access runs through AWS IAM, content is filtered with Bedrock Guardrails, and every model call is logged in CloudTrail with the region and the principal that made it. An IAM policy can lock inference to EU-only profiles, so the boundary stops being a convention and becomes something you enforce and evidence on demand.

Why Cloud2.

Cloud2 is an Anthropic Authorised Reseller, one of the first in the Nordics, and an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner with validated AWS Security and Digital Sovereignty competencies. The security posture is checked by AWS, not self-declared.

You do not add another vendor, another contract, or another integration project. You access Claude inside your existing AWS environment and partner relationship. Billing, security posture, monitoring and support can all be managed by us. One partner, less complexity, no compliance headaches, and no detours through US infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude really run with EU data residency?
Yes. On Amazon Bedrock, Claude can be hosted In-Region (for example Stockholm or Ireland) or across EU Geo. AWS processes the data inside the EU region you choose and does not share it with Anthropic.
How is this different from buying Claude direct from Anthropic?
The direct API has no EU residency setting: it accepts only us or global, and storage is US-only. The AWS path processes inside the EU and gives you IAM, Guardrails and CloudTrail. On residency, they are not close.
Do we need a new vendor or another contract?
No. As an Anthropic Authorised Reseller, Cloud2 provides Claude inside your existing AWS environment and partner relationship. Billing, security, monitoring and support can all run through us.
Which models and regions are available?
Claude Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 4.6 on Bedrock, with EU In-Region hosting in Stockholm, Ireland and London, and EU Geo across Frankfurt, Paris, Stockholm, Ireland, Milan, Spain, Zurich and London.
Do we have to change our tools?
No. Claude Code, the Cowork desktop app, and the Agent SDK all route through Bedrock with a small change of configuration. Same tools, EU boundary.
How do we start?
Book a short session. We map your use cases by residency requirement and hand you an architecture you can defend. No commitment required.
