Managed Azure Virtual Desktop

Microsoft AVD, fully managed. Desktops and applications from Azure cloud to any device. We build it, we run it, we keep it up-to-date. Your team signs in and gets to work.

Problem

Some Applications Can't Leave the Environment They Belong To

Your most important applications live behind compliance rules, requirements and often your own infrastructure. Users still need to reach them. Sometimes from outside the office, sometimes from outside the organisation. The question is not whether to give access. It is how to do it without losing control.

  • Sensitive applications that compliance, audit, or data residency rules will not allow on user-managed devices
  • External partners and contractors who need access to specific systems without a company laptop
  • Legacy or specialised software that lives in your infrastructure but is needed from outside it
  • Every user action against a sensitive system needs to be traceable, not just authorised

Approach

One Cloud Workspace. Centrally Managed.

Managed AVD wraps your entire Azure Virtual Desktop environment into a single managed service. We build the architecture, run the operations, and keep the platform up-to-date. Your users sign in. The right desktop, the right applications, and the right access are already there.

Built on Azure, Run by Cloud2

We design and deploy AVD natively in your Azure tenant, integrated with your identity, network, and security setup. After go-live, we run the operations and keep the platform up-to-date. You stay in control. We do the work.

Continuous Management

Updates flow through proven automation. Cloud usage is monitored continuously, so you do not pay for capacity you are not using. Smart scaling means smart spending. Weekly meetings cover the operational layer: incidents, capacity, day-to-day delivery. Monthly meetings cover the tactical layer: direction, costs, where the environment is heading next.

Predictable Onboarding

Each implementation runs as a clear, structured project with defined steps and outcomes. We start by walking through the foundations: the stakeholders, contact points, and third parties involved in the transition. Beyond the technical detail, we make sure nothing important is overlooked before the build begins. The end result is a virtual environment that is secure, scalable, and ready for users on day one.

Just AVD, or the Whole Cloud

Take only Managed AVD from us, and we will run it cleanly inside your existing Azure setup. Want governance, security, and workloads handled the same way? Our Managed Cloud Platform covers the rest under one team. No upsell pressure.

Three Reasons to Run AVD as a Managed Service

What Changes When Desktops Live in the Cloud

AVD shifts where the work happens, who maintains it, and how quickly people can get to it.

Day 1

A Better Experience for External Users

Cloud workspaces are a clean answer to a question that comes up in regulated industries every year: how do we let external experts access our systems without giving them a dedicated laptop? AVD gives partners, consultants, and contractors a controlled, secure environment. The work starts when they sign in, not when the laptop arrives.

On demand

From Laptop Refresh to Capacity on Tap

Buying a laptop for every person is an expensive way to deliver applications. Educational institutions saw this first. Students no longer need a dedicated workstation when their desktop and applications are a few clicks away. The same logic applies in other sectors. Capacity scales with usage, not with hardware procurement cycles.

Everywhere

Centralised Maintenance for a Distributed Workforce

The era of over-the-shoulder IT support is over. With centralised application maintenance, it does not matter where your people physically sit or what machine they are clicking away on. Patches and configurations are kept consistent for everyone. Teleworkers get the same up-to-date environment as the rest of the team.

Why Cloud2

Cloud-First, Microsoft-Fluent

Managed AVD is more than spinning up virtual desktops. A real AVD service touches identity, networking, security, image management, application delivery, monitoring, and cost control. Our experts cover every one of those corners, not only the virtualisation layer.

Practitioners First

Advice comes from running real Azure environments daily, not from a slide deck. Recommendations reflect what works in production, not what looks tidy on paper.

Multi-Cloud Neutral

AVD is Microsoft. The rest of your estate may not be. We work fluently across AWS, Azure, and GCP, so an AVD decision never traps the rest of your architecture.

Senior Team in the Nordics

Cloud professionals across Finland and Denmark following the latest Azure releases, AVD updates, and the wider Microsoft cloud landscape. Your environment never depends on one person being in the office.

Full Service, Not Just Virtualisation

Identity, networking, security, image management, application delivery, monitoring, and cost control. The whole AVD operating layer, run by one team.

FAQ

Common Questions

What does Managed AVD cover?
We take full responsibility for building, monitoring, and managing your Azure Virtual Desktop environment, in line with the service levels we agree on the way in. That includes AVD architecture, design, and deployment in your Azure tenant integrated with your identity, networking, and security setup; continuous operations covering updates, patching, scaling, monitoring, and capacity tuning; cloud cost monitoring so you only pay for capacity that is actually in use; identity and access policies enforced centrally; image management and version control as part of the operations layer; detailed reporting and regular service reviews through weekly and monthly meetings; and optional integration with your wider cloud estate, including multi-vendor environments.
When is AVD the right fit?
AVD is built for applications that have to run through a managed virtualisation layer. Compliance constraints, sensitive data, specialised or legacy software that runs better in a controlled environment. In those cases AVD delivers the application to any user, on any device, while access, data, and operations stay in your control. The goal is to deliver that application well, run the layer 24/7, and keep it up-to-date and secure. AVD is not a laptop replacement programme.
How is AVD priced?
Costs come from two layers: Microsoft licensing for AVD user rights and Azure capacity for the actual desktops. We size both to your usage pattern. Light users share capacity. Power users get heavier resources only when they need them. The total cost is modelled up front so the business case is clear before you commit.
How is AVD secured?
Data stays inside your Azure tenant. Access is governed by your identity and conditional access policies. Session policies control what users can do once they are in. Compliance configurations are enforced centrally and applied to every user.
What about licensing?
Microsoft AVD has its own licensing model that is bundled with several Microsoft 365 and Windows plans. We map your current licensing to the AVD requirements before deployment, so the entitlements are understood before any environment is built. Final licensing details are confirmed during scoping.
Can we run AVD alongside Citrix or other virtualisation tools?
Yes. Many organisations run mixed estates. AVD covers Microsoft-aligned use cases, and Citrix or other platforms cover specialised workloads. We support multi-vendor environments without forcing consolidation.
What does onboarding look like?
Each implementation runs as a structured project. We start by mapping the foundations: stakeholders, contact points, third parties, and integrations. Then we build the AVD environment, run it in pilot, and hand over to operations. The exact timeline depends on your starting point and is confirmed during scoping.
