Managed Data Products

Your key data checked every day: fresh before the report opens, correct after every refresh, and rolled back when a bad load gets through.

Problem

The report was wrong again this morning

Somebody builds the pipeline. Data Governance controls who may use what comes out of it. Nobody watches whether the numbers are right this morning. Managed Data Products does. It checks every day that your key data is fresh and correct before anyone relies on it.

  • • Stale data discovered by the CFO, not by the platform
  • • Source schema changes that break things silently
  • • Bad loads fixed by restoring the whole database

Approach

Is this data product fresh and correct right now?

Managed Data Foundation answers whether the platform is up. Managed Data Governance answers who may use the data and what it costs. Managed Data Products answers the question your business actually asks. Built on the platform's own job and quality telemetry (Glue and Step Functions on AWS, Fabric pipelines and Data Factory on Azure) with lineage exported over OpenLineage, so it also covers pipelines we didn't build.

Freshness

Each data product checked against its agreed refresh time, with an alert before the business opens the report.

Volume and schema drift

Row counts, null rates and source schema changes that break things silently.

Quality

The rules from your governance model, run on every refresh, with a scorecard per product.

Cost per refresh

Spend per data product run, fed straight into Data FinOps.

Incidents

Data incidents handled through the Cloud² service desk, same as any other workload.

Recovery

A bad load rolled back to the last known-good snapshot with Iceberg or Delta time travel, then reprocessed. Tested once at onboarding against a deliberately bad load.

What It Costs

Priced per product, on purpose

This is the one layer whose cost grows with what you run, so it is the one layer priced per unit. A data product is one published dataset with an owner, a contract and a refresh schedule. Not a table, not a pipeline step.

From €50

Per data product, per month

Freshness, drift, quality, cost per refresh, incidents and recovery.

4

Step

Available in every tier, billed per unit.

Covered

Pipelines we didn't build

OpenLineage export means the pipeline's origin doesn't matter.

FAQ

Common questions

Does this include building pipelines?
No. Pipeline builds are scoped per source and data product. Managed Data Products takes over once they are in production.
How many data products do we have?
Your data product register tells us. We count from the register before quoting, never from a list.
