Cloud Governance as a Service

A continuously secure, cost-effective and best practice cloud management model

A quick start to sustainable cloud computing

Cloud governance is the step to start your cloud journey. The cloud governance model puts best practices in order and dictates the rules for technical development.

Too often, Cloud Governance models are developed from scratch in overpriced and stupidly long consultancy projects, resulting in a PDF document that is then forgotten on the corner of the disk server - only to be dug up and used when something breaks and you need to find who to blame.

Cloud Governance as a Service ensures that you get the cloud foundations right and your journey to the cloud is secure, cost-effective and best practice from the start.

How Cloud Governance as a Service works

Cloud management model and Landing Zone

Our joint journey to the cloud starts by sitting down together and discussing with both IT and business of your future cloud needs - i.e. WHY are you going to the cloud and WHAT do you actually want to achieve there.

Based on these discussions, we will create documentation and technical implementation (Landing Zone) of the cloud governance model quickly, often in less than a couple of weeks.

The use of automation and ready-made models are the key at this stage: we've done the groundwork well so you can get up to speed quickly. The cloud governance models we create are based on best practices from cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure Well Architected, WAF, etc.) The cloud governance model is always tailored to fit your expectations and needs.

Continuous monitoring and optimisation

The foundations of a cloud, once erected, become rotten, if they are not updated over time. With a Managed Service, you ensure that your requirements and the technical implementation of the cloud always match.

The cost savings, security and other benefits you were looking for when you moved to the cloud won't be forgotten along the way.

Our Cloud Governance as a Service service includes, among other things, a monthly review and update of the governance model, as well as regular cloud steering group meetings. With the steering group we bring together representatives from different business units and IT departments, for example, which often facilitates internal discussions about the cloud.

A strong base for cloud development

When the  Cloud Governance model and Landing Zones are in place, the design, implementation, maintenance and e.g. cost optimisation or strengthening data security is ridiculously straightforward.

Cloud governance is part of wider cloud development that requires strategic, tactical and operational expertise. Passion, if I had to sum it up in one word.

Cloud Governance as a Service is often part of a larger service package and is supported by our other services, such as. Managed Cloud and Cloud Security as a Service.

Cloud development also strongly involves Platform Engineering, read ideas related to that here.

Get to grips with best practice in multi-cloud environments

This whitepaper will give you tips on how to build a sustainable multi-cloud management model in your organisation, in the scenario of using the cloud.

How can you identify an agile Cloud Governance partner?

It's not always worth building from a long tree (finnish way of saying 'from the scratch'). Why hide the fact that our cloud experts use pre-built models for Landing Zone construction? In our experience, the vast majority of needs are often the same and it's more important to work out and focus on customer-specific details.

We want you to benefit from efficiency. If you're really in a hurry, a secure base in the cloud can be created in as little as a week.

Your business perspective is not lost in cloud jargon

IT can feel like damn labyrinth. You thought you'd listed all the requirements, but then the finance department had that one more project on fire and marketing had a few more things on their mind..

A partner who specialises in the cloud knows how to ask the right questions and look at the big picture from both a business and technology perspective.

Data security, data location, costs... Implementing Cloud Governance policies require fanatical monitoring and an understanding of cloud technologies.

For the best results, combine automation with the expertise of dozens of our specialists and add a layer of transparency with the Spotter tool.

Enough automation, enough people

Cloud management model up and running in a week

"In selecting the partner, we focused on their expertise in different cloud environments and traditional infrastructure, as well as their comprehensive understanding of security. We kept in mind that in the future, data may reside in different cloud environments, and in order to manage this effectively and securely, we would need not only a competent partner, but also a holistic cloud management model."

"Continuous service is not the most common approach to cloud governance. However, it is the approach that consistently delivers the most value to the customer. I know of companies that have initially started a Cloud Governance project with another house, but then changed their mind."
